Sewell Barn

Sleeps  2 in a king-size bed,  with en-suite shower and w.c. The ground floor is open plan with kitchen and dining areas, and a sitting room.

Sewell Barn is the end section of our converted Suffolk barn with an outside staircase reaching the bedroom (optional!)  The exposed structural timbers and timber board roof ensure the character of this building has been retained.  This barn is a cosy “nest” for two or a little haven of peace and quiet perhaps if rented in conjunction with the other barns.

Downstairs has a very homely feel with beautiful curtains and soft furnishings.

Upstairs a spacious bedroom offers a comfortable king-size bed under a great curved beam that moves across the roof space that is exposed to the roof timbers.

Outside, a separate terrace with table and chairs , and a lawn .

In more detail,

Ground Floor

• Entry via a stable door opening into the open-plan living and dining area. A wooden cabinet offers useful storage.
• Kitchen is defined with open vertical timbers. It has a butler sink below a window overlooking the courtyard, dishwasher, double oven, electric hob, microwave and under-counter fridge-freezer. A washer-dryer is included in this barn alongside the spacious cupboards.
• Dining area with round table and chairs for 4 people. French windows have views over the surrounding lawns to meadows beyond.
• The sitting room has two sofas, side tables, large-screen TV, DVD, and Free-view.

First Floor

• A staircase from the dining area rises to the bedroom with en-suite.
• The king size room has two bedside cabinets and lamps, chest of drawers, dressing table with chair, and a wardrobe. Ceilings are vaulted and open up to the underside of the roof. A glazed door leads to an exterior small landing and descending staircase.
• The en-suite is a shower room, wash basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
